Kinkasalmi update! joulukuu 19, 2010

Today we checked if the ice of Kinkasalmi is already strong enough. The weakest place was 15 cm thick. A problem might be that there is a layer of 2 cm water on the ice and on top of that again 3 cm ice and 3-7 cm snow.

Length: 18 km Savitaipale-Suomenniemi + 5 km long circle track in Savitaipale on lake Kuolimo
Fee: free
Scating during day and/or in evening lit by flames on 26.2.2011
10 EUR / adult,
children 0-15 free
Bus transport from Suomenniemi to Savitaipale on 26.2. during the whole day and evening
Bus ticket 5 €/ direction.
On other days skating on the tracks is free if the weather allows and if there are enough
sponsors to keep the track open.
